Chia seeds jellify in liquid, so less sugar needed to get that ‘jammy’ consistency.


You can put this on protein pancakes, add it to smoothies for post workout carbs, or I recommend trying Sukrin Low Carb Gluten Free Breads warm straight from the oven.

INGREDIENTS

4 oranges
450ml water
2 tbsp. chia seeds
200g coconut sugar
100g dark chocolate, chopped

METHOD
Zest the oranges, put it in a saucepan.

Chop the orange flesh and put it in a blender with the water, then add this to the saucepan with the zest.

Add the coconut sugar & chia seeds, bring to the boil, then simmer for 30 minutes.

Remove the mixture from heat and stir in the chocolate until it melts

Pour into sterilized jars, put the lids on, allow to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate.
