Should You Be Calorie Counting?

Have you every tried calorie counting?

Heads up – if you’ve ever joined Weight Watchers their ‘points’ system is basically calorie counting.

Then in the other camp we have the ‘clean eaters’ who propose no processed food, possibly no dairy or gluten, no sugar (there’s no actual definition of ‘clean’ food so it’s a bit vague).

They tell you calories don’t matter if you’re trying to lose weight…

It’s the TYPE of foods consumed that determine whether you burn or store fat…

This is what I still hear in the weight loss world.

But is it true?

Watch and I’ll explain.

See, food quality is definitely important.

We need vitamins and minerals, protein, fat and carbs, as well as hydration.

If you stop eating junk food and switch to whole foods, as close to their natural state as possible, you will reap huge benefits.

But will you lose weight?
