But is it true? Are the fats found in meat, dairy and eggs killing us?
Saturated fats are mostly found in animal products – meat, poultry, eggs and dairy (especially high fat dairy like butter and cream), as well as coconut oil and palm oil.
You can see where the thinking comes from – Saturated fats are solid at room temperature, so you’d think they clogged up our arteries with solid gunk too.
Only like most bodily processes, it’s not as simple as that.
In fact Saturated fat is very healthy, necessary even, for many processes in the body!
