Chichester Mums make UK finals at awards
TWO Chichester mums have been named finalists in the Networking Mummies UK Ltd Recognition National Business Awards.
The awards are the first of their kind, run by the networking group for working mums and dads.
Chichester-based Polly Hale, one of the directors at The Fit Mum Formula, is up for the Best Small Business award just one year after the company was founded.
She said: “It’s so exciting that out of the whole of the UK we’ve been picked and will be attending the awards with people we know, as well as meeting so many inspiring women from other parts of the country. Networking has been invaluable to all our businesses.”
The Fit Mum Formula provides an online fitness and nutritional BodyBack programme to help people into shape, and is delivered 100 per cent online – no gym membership is necessary, and you don’t even have to leave the house.
The next Chichester finalist is Debbie Garrick, founder of Muchachos Singing Spanish and C’est Chouette Singing French. Debbie is a finalist in the BusinessGrowth category as her business, which started with just preschool language classes, has now expanded to after-school classes, baby classes, holiday workshops and school workshops. The classes run in Chichester, Bognor Regis, Chidham, Portsmouth, Petersfield and Southampton.
Debbie said: “I am stunned to have reached the national finals and I’m truly thankful to the ladies of networking mummies who have supported me since I started attending networking meetings, with contacts, advice, information and general enthusiasm.”
The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on March 29 at Jury’s Inn in Birmingham.
