But being aware of and mindful of calories is not the same as counting every calorie.
And certain foods make eating fewer (or more, if that’s your goal) calories easier and come naturally, even without counting.
If you’ve ever been to Weight Watchers or Slimming World you’ll have come across ‘Points’ and ‘Syns’ which are similar to counting calories only they are made up by the companies and make little nutritional sense.
This video explains why calories are important, but why that doesn’t mean you have to be a slave to the numbers.
